The drainage issues at this home actually began next door. You see, the house is positioned downhill from the neighbor. Water runoff from that home began running to the house and though a catch basin is installed nearby, it wasn't catching the water at the back of the home.

Our solution? We dug out the flower bed by about a foot and put in a French drain system that included drain fabric, perforated pipe and drain rock. You can hear more details in the below video. The great news is we heard from the homeowner after the job was completed, and she said, "I've not gotten any water since we made the changes in the French drain, and I've been real happy with it."
